wah tenkara wah

tenkara aficionados try salt water fishing
"whine whine lefty whine show whine whine wah tenkara wah wah whine"

did i sum it up? holy fuck, who cares? if you're against it, no one cares run on with your superiority because you can manipulate line length. if you're against it, no one cares run on with your simplicity spiel.

but here's a hint for the pro-tenkara camp: you'll continue to be a fad/novelty/other derogatory comment for the foreseeable future. because no one here knows about you and doesn't care. four years of sales in america doesn't really mean anything.

however, the more you whine abotu all the bullshit you whine about, the more the rest of the established people will hate you. silently stew in tenkara forums if you must about how people don't get it but please don't try to reign over the rest of us because we don't care.

oh, and seriously, drop teh fucking simplicity smarmy shit. i sort of got the appeal of it, but the endless parade of people trumping moral superiority because their stick and string doesn't have a reel and someone else's does got really fucking old really fucking fast and now i'd as soon as punch you in the neck as listen to the same argument over and over again.

seriously. i was all on board and like, "fuck yeah seaking i'll buy into this, i mean like, a stick and a string and i can cut down my shit even further hoo boy even my lanyard is too heavy" was like, y'know, the right way and then i kept reading thing shit out of the mouthf rom the good forks at tenkarausa, and now, well, yeah. neck punch.

bet there's a good FOV from up there...
furthermore, its not like a reel adds that much extra weight to the amount of shit i carry around, and i don't have to do that whacky flop around sort of thing you do when you hook fish, but seriously, i won't even take up the moral fish lovin' superiority of fighting a fish with a line you can move versus hoisting the fucker up into the air, coz like, i somehow feel that moves toe argument closer to "tenkara is a silly idea" side of things. and i'm not trying to do that. or, well, wasn't til i made this preceding paragraph.

if i have to fucking see one more fucking internet fucking threadpostblogforumfuckingyammeryammeryammer about this shit i'm going to climb a goddamned fuckign clock tower with a rifle.

finally, in summation, lefty kreh supports the spring ridge club so fuck him anyways.

post script: the irony of demanding no more shit while infact adding more shit just hit me. fuck you. everything only applies to everyone else. that's how this works. when i'm fucking ruler of all known creation you're the first against the wall for questionign me. got it, assjack?

  1. While being pro-tenkara, I still feel pretty much the same about all the the whole fad "debate." I want to see an East Side/West Side gang war finish this for good. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face on what is an otherwise shitty Monday morning.

  4. My main issue with tenkara is that they promote it as some kind of foreign exotic fly fishing from Japan. However, fixed line fly fishing is the way it was done in England and Colonial America before the reel became popular in about 1800. It's like they, most of them of European ancestry, want to throw out the whole American and British history of fly fishing to cling to some Japanese tradition. That's cool if you're actually Japanese. But if you're not, why not be proud of your own nation's history? Being English and Irish, fly fishing is in my blood.
